Origin and Details

Finca El Socorro is located in the highlands of Palencia, refined over three generations of the De La Cerda family and managed today by Diego. The coffee matures slowly at 1,850m under the protection of native shade trees within the region's largest forest reserve, over 400 hectares of protected area. Our selection from Finca El Socorro is a washed Pacamara, a variety known for its bean size and complex profile.

Frequently Asked Questions

What grind should I use?

It depends on your method. We include brewing guides with every order. Coarse for French press, medium for drip, fine for espresso. Each bag tells you what works best.

What are the shipping conditions?

Orders ship within two business days. Standard delivery takes five to seven working days across the UK. We use recyclable packaging because it matters.

Do you ship internationally?

Currently we ship within the UK. We're working on expanding to Europe next year. Sign up for updates if you're outside the UK.

How long does coffee stay fresh?

Whole beans stay fresh for three to four weeks after roasting. We roast to order when possible. Store in an airtight container away from light and heat.

What if I don't like it?

We offer a thirty-day guarantee. If the coffee isn't what you hoped for, we'll refund you or send something different. No arguments.

Is the coffee organic certified?

Most of our beans are grown organically, though not all carry formal certification. We prioritise direct relationships and fair prices over paperwork. Ask us about any specific batch.

Where do you source from?

We work directly with small farms and cooperatives across Ethiopia, Colombia, and Kenya. No brokers, no auctions. We visit the farms, we know the people, we understand the work. That's how we ensure quality and fairness.

How do you ensure fair prices?

We pay above commodity prices and work with the same farms year after year. Transparency matters. Ask us what farmers earn and we'll tell you.
